July is Self-Care Month
24June marks the start of Self-Care Month, which ends with Self-Care Day on 24 July. This symbolic day was chosen because self-care can be practiced “24 hours a day/7 days a week”.
Self-Care Month is a dedicated time to emphasize the importance of taking care of one’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It encourages individuals to prioritize activities that promote health and happiness, such as exercise, healthy eating, and relaxation. This month serves as a reminder that self-care is essential for preventing burnout, reducing stress, and maintaining overall wellness. By focusing on self-care, people can improve their quality of life and better manage the demands of daily living.

OUR FOCUS AREAS
Focus Areas
- Advocacy
- Training & Research
- Outreach
The on-line based platforms of, FB, IG, LinkedIn, and the website, together with old media (radio, Tv and print) are used to create Mental health (MH) awareness within and beyond Kenya’s borders.
The variety in membership ensures that, different demographics (e.g. youth, men) are targeted with appropriate content. Interactive ‘live’ discussions, with, especially authority figures, enlightening viewers on Government mental health policies, remain some of the favourites.
Key MH days and other issues of concern, are commemorated through #campaigns. Our resource pool, shares and re-shares useful contacts such as HelpLines and other related areas
